Winter School on Electron Microscopy

The Winter School on Electron Microscopy aims to provide basic training in the theory and practice of Electron Microscopy (SEM, TEM) and related techniques (EDX, FIB). The course covers imaging, diffraction and chemical microanalysis as well as important area of sample preparation.
 
Thanks to the limited number of participants in each group (max. 5), you will have the opportunity to experience SEM, TEM, FIB and sample preparation hands-on, at University of Nova Gorica in Ajdovščina and at Nanocenter in Ljubljana.
 
In the interactive training sessions and daily coffee breaks, you can discuss your research work and make new contacts with other doctoral students, young postdocs and expert trainers.
 
The participants will be divided into 3 groups (G1, G2, G3), with parallel activities.

The course will be open to a maximum of 15 participants from the Programme Area and will be held in English due to the highly technical content. The activity is co-financed within the framework of the ALL-MICRO project.
